LEOSA QUALIFICATION COURSE
Pursuant to Chapter 44 of Title 18 USC 926B and 926 C (Formerly H.R. 218 and S. 1132)
A Concealed Carry Qualification Course that meets the requirements set forth in the Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act for active/retired/honorably separated Peace Officers to carry a concealed firearm in the 50 states and U.S. territories.
Our 1-hour LEOSA Course covers:
- The text of LEOSA: Benefits, limitations, and qualification requirements.
- Concealed Carry Tactics review: Cover/concealment, Color Codes of Awareness, drawing and engaging threats from concealment.
- 48-round Qualification Course: From Close Quarter distance out to 15 yards, including failure drills, strong/weak hand shooting, and standing/kneeling positions.
Cost of the course includes a Certification of Qualification card, as well as one additional remedial training session and second qualification attempt if unsuccessful on the first attempt.
Our instructor is a California POST-certified Firearms Instructor for pistol, shotgun, and carbine, as well an N.R.A. and CA D.O.J.-certified instructor. He was also a POST-certified Defensive Tactics/Impact Weapons/Taser instructor, and Field Training Officer. He was a felony crimes Detective for six years, and a member of his Department’s Special Response Team/SWAT for over thirteen years, assigned to Entry/Assault, Maritime Interdiction, and as a SWAT Rangemaster.
COST: $100.00 (Plus ammunition cost if not supplied by trainee.)
Requires a valid Department-issued Photo-I.D. with LEOSA endorsement to be presented at time of training
